STAYING ON TOP: WINNING THE JOB WARS OF THE FUTURE

The Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP) is leading the implementation of a regional economic development strategy called "Staying on Top: Winning the Job Wars of the Future." The $5 million, five-year plan aims to create 100,000 new jobs in the region and boost employment in all 13 counties within the Research Triangle Region.  Moore County is one of the 13 counties.

The "Staying on Top" strategy centers around attracting corporate investments primarily from 10 industry clusters:

  • Pharmaceuticals

  • Biological agents and infectious diseases

  • Agricultural biotechnology

  • Pervasive computing

  • Advanced medical care

  • Analytical instrumentation

  • Nanoscale technologies

  • Informatics

  • Vehicle component parts

  • Logistics and distribution
Moore County Partners in Progress is participating in this strategy as an "institutional partner", meaning that we are focusing and aligning our economic development efforts around the regional vision and plan outlined in the "Staying on Top" initiative.
