The Town of Robbins, in northwestern Moore County, has a rich and varied history, but has received national attention as the childhood home of John Edwards, 2004 Democratic Vice Presidential candidate. Robbins is also home to the annual Farmer’s Day celebration, which features what may be the largest horse parade in the country. It is close to Seagrove, a major center for handcrafted pottery. Many potters live in and around Robbins, and NC Highway 705, known as "Pottery Highway", runs right through the town.
