Area Colleges and Universities

 

Through partnerships with St. Andrews Presbyterian College and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Sandhills Community College (SCC) in Moore County is able to offer 7 bachelor degree programs and 5 graduate programs in addition to its own college transfer degrees, technical programs and continuing education program.

 
ST. ANDREWS PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE
St. Andrews Presbyterian College, located less than an hour’s drive away in Laurinburg, Scotland County, is a private 4-year liberal arts and sciences college offering 30 bachelor degree programs at its main campus. 

Through the Center for Adult and Professional Studies at its satellite campus at SCCSt. Andrews offers a flexible class schedule for the following Bachelor of Arts programs:  Business Administration, Business Administration with a concentration in Equine Management, Liberal Studies and Elementary Education.  Teacher Certification is an option for individuals who have a degree and want to pursue licensure for teaching in public schools.  Students can take advantage of evening and weekend classes and online courses.

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT PEMBROKE
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC-P) is one of 16 public schools that comprise the University of North Carolina system.  Located approximately one hour away in Pembroke, Robeson County, UNC-P offers a liberal arts education with 44 bachelor degree and 16 masters degree programs.

Through its satellite campus at SCC, UNC-P offers 5 graduate and 3 undergraduate programs.  The undergraduate degrees are a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management (BS), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.  The graduate degrees are a Master of Arts in Education-Elementary Education (MA-Ed.); Master of Arts in Education-Reading (MA-Ed.); and Master of Arts in Public Management (MPA); a Master of Business Administration (MBA); and a Master of School Administration (MSA).
